LucidSkill — Focuser LLC Last updated August 2026
Read this before you use LucidSkill. Sessions can include rapidly flashing light and immersive audio, and many of the skills in this app are physically dangerous. This notice explains the risks you are accepting.
Sessions can include a rapidly flashing light overlay (roughly 4–40 flashes per second) and flickering video. A small percentage of people may experience seizures, blackouts or altered awareness when exposed to flashing lights or patterns, even with no prior history of epilepsy. Do NOT use the Lucid Flash feature if you have epilepsy, a seizure disorder, or are photosensitive. Stop the session immediately and consult a doctor if you experience dizziness, altered vision, eye or muscle twitching, loss of awareness, disorientation, or any involuntary movement.
Sessions are immersive and designed to reduce your awareness of your surroundings. Only use LucidSkill while seated or lying down in a safe, private place. NEVER use it while driving, riding, cycling, or operating any vehicle or machinery; while in or near water, including a bath, pool, or open water; at height, on stairs, or near traffic, heat, flames or sharp objects; or while walking or exercising. Doing so can cause serious injury or death to you or others.
Many skills in this app — flips, tricking, powermoves, acrobatics, martial arts, and similar — are inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury, paralysis or death. Mental rehearsal is NOT physical readiness: feeling ready inside a session does not mean your body is prepared. Only train physically with qualified in-person instruction, proper progressions, appropriate surfaces, safety equipment and spotters, and never attempt anything beyond your current, tested ability.
V-Stim is a new, experimental and evolving method. It has not been clinically validated, it is not a proven training system, and it may change or be corrected as it develops. Individual results vary widely, and there is NO guarantee of any result — no guarantee that you will learn a skill, improve at it, lucid dream, or experience any effect at all. Any descriptions of how or why it may work are theory and personal experience, not established science.
LucidSkill is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. Consult a physician before use if you have or have had epilepsy or seizures, migraines, a heart condition, an implanted pacemaker or other electronic medical device, a psychiatric, dissociative or psychotic condition, PTSD, a sleep disorder, a brain injury, or if you are pregnant. Do not use while under the influence of alcohol, cannabis, or any drug or medication that affects alertness, perception or seizure threshold.
Sessions use binaural beats, isochronic tones, solid tones and voice tracks, often through headphones. Keep the volume at a comfortable, moderate level: extended listening at high volume can cause permanent hearing damage. Binaural and isochronic stimulation may also trigger discomfort, headaches or seizure activity in sensitive individuals — lower the volume or stop if anything feels wrong.
You may become deeply relaxed, drowsy, or enter a trance-like or dream-like state, and you may fall asleep. Afterwards you can feel disoriented, groggy, or unsteady for several minutes. Give yourself time to fully re-orient before standing, driving, operating machinery, or making any decision that matters.
Night-time and lucid-dream practices can disrupt your sleep and may cause vivid, intense or distressing dreams, sleep paralysis, night-time awakenings, or daytime fatigue. Never use LucidSkill as a substitute for adequate sleep. If your sleep, mood or mental wellbeing is affected, stop and speak to a healthcare professional.
End the session at once if you experience headache, eye strain, nausea, dizziness, chest discomfort, racing heart, anxiety, panic, confusion, unusual thoughts, numbness, or any involuntary movement. Do not push through discomfort, and do not resume until you have spoken with a doctor if symptoms were significant or recurring.
You must be 18 or older to use LucidSkill on your own, or have the informed permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. This app is not intended for young children.
You use LucidSkill entirely at your own risk. LucidSkill and its V-Stim method are provided for educational and entertainment purposes only. Nothing in the app is professional coaching, medical, psychological, or physical-training advice, and nothing in it should be read as a guarantee that you are able to safely perform any skill.
V-Stim is new, experimental and still evolving. It has not been clinically validated, and the app is provided ‘as is’ without warranties of any kind. No result of any kind is promised or guaranteed — including skill acquisition, improvement, performance change, relaxation, or lucid dreaming. Explanations of how the method may work are theory and personal experience, not established science, and may be revised as the method develops.
Many skills featured in this app — including flips, tricking, powermoves, acrobatics, ball sports and martial arts — are inherently physical and may be dangerous. Attempting them can result in serious injury, permanent disability, or death. Mental rehearsal does not create physical readiness. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with practising any skill you view in this app.
Sessions may include a flashing light overlay at approximately 4–40Hz, flickering video, and binaural, isochronic or solid-tone audio. Such stimulation can trigger seizures, blackouts or altered awareness in susceptible individuals, including those with no prior diagnosis. You are responsible for disabling the Lucid Flash feature and discontinuing use if you are or may be photosensitive, and for seeking medical advice before use if you have any relevant condition.
You agree to use LucidSkill only while seated or lying down in a safe location, and never while driving, riding, cycling, operating machinery, in or near water, at height, or engaged in any activity requiring attention. You accept full responsibility for any consequence of using the app outside these conditions.
LucidSkill is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition. It is not a substitute for professional medical, psychiatric or sleep care, and it must not be used in place of adequate sleep. Consult a qualified physician before use if you have any medical, neurological, psychiatric or sleep condition, are pregnant, or take medication affecting alertness or perception.
You must be at least 18 years old to use LucidSkill independently, or have the informed permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. The app is not intended for young children.
Always train within your ability, in a safe environment, with appropriate supervision, equipment, surfaces and progressions. Consult a qualified instructor and a physician before attempting any new physical activity. Always know your limits.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Focuser LLC, its owners, employees and affiliates are not liable for any injury, loss, damage or harm of any kind — direct, indirect, incidental or consequential — arising from your use of the app, its content, or your attempt to perform any skill, whether or not such harm was foreseeable. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the preceding twelve months.
